Cheeky Girls

Before I came to Romania, I had little exposure to Romanian music, with the exception of Talisman's Atat de Singur and some traditional folk songs.

Then I read about the Cheeky Girls.

And you thought Britney Spears was bad.

They're Romanian twins who were professional dancers in Transylvania until their mother thought they could make it as pop stars. They tried out for some British American Idol-esque shows and literally got laughed off the stage.

However, they gained so much publicity through the bad singing and even worse lyrics that they're laughing all the way to the bank. Most of their songs involve the words "cheeky cheeky" or "bum". In fact, their biggest single is called "The Cheeky Song (Touch My Bum)".

The music video never fails to throw me into hysterics.
