Smell

Every country has their own smell. I could be blindfolded and tell apart Sweden, France, Denmark, etc etc.

So what does Romania smell like?

Ambi-pur.

I don't know if we have it in Canada. Most Canadians regard air fresheners with disdaine.

Romanians seem to love air fresheners. My coworker sprays an aerosol can of rose-scented stuff all the time. My boss has a little plug-in one in his car. Even my gym has plug-in air fresheners everywhere.

I don't get it. I watched a Euronews report this morning on how the EU is considering banning some of the most popular brands due to health risks.

The Ambi-pur contraptio is a neat little thing though. It's like a small bottle of scented oil with a wick inside in this little plastic contraption that plugs into the wall. There's one beside me now which is mercifully unplugged.
