Happy Romania Day!

December 1 is Romania Day.

I love it when national holidays fall on regular working days (unlike certain Canadian holidays I could name).

Hmm...maybe I should do a comparison between Canada Day and Romania Day.

Canada Day:
- July 1
- celebrated since 1867
- celebrates the uniting of Upper and Lower Canada
- fireworks, family activities, face painting

Romania Day
- December 1
- celebrated since 1918
- celebrates the unification of Romania and Transylvania
- "it will be something, but I don't know", according to my coworker

I can't make a judgement call just yet because I have yet to experience Romania Day, but Canada might win just because it's in July when it's warm.
