Tequilla

Tequilla is one of the places that reminds me most like home. It's a pool hall and I've been here several times, mainly with the French expats.

It's a nice place to warm up before hitting the bars. Which is what Cosmin and Tony and I did last night.

And I'd like to add, I would have kicked Tony's ass at our last game of pool, except he had these completely preposterous (Romanian?) rules for ways the 8 ball needed to be sunk. Needless to say, I ended up sinking the cue ball with it.

Hi!

These tables look so odd, being red. Are all Romanian pool tables this colour, or is it just the official colour of this pool hall?

The place looks like a cool little hang out.

These are the only Romanian pool tables I've seen, but Adriana assures me they also come in green.

Incidentally, the brand name is "Brunswick". When I tell people I come from New Brunswick, I usually get asked if they make the Brunswick pool tables there.

Yeah, it is a cool place. Delphine and I went with the French expats. I will always remember it for a guy with the ugliest shoes I have ever seen in my life. It's in a place called "Complex" which is basically a little student town filled with cafes, bars and restaurants, with the occasional strip club here and there. The place kind of creeps me out because it's got a Red Light Distract feel about it, but Tequilla is always nice and clean.
