I've been invited to be an observer at the new Romanian elections to be held this Sunday. They want to make sure there are no fraudulent practices so the result will not be disputed. Originally, I was super excited, until I found out it would be from 7:00 am till 9:00 pm.

I'd get 300,000 lei out of it. No food though.

And think of what I could put on my CV!

"Observer / international moderator for 2004 Romanian presidential election"

I wonder if this is a job they try to palm off on all unsuspecting foreigners.
