Senegal

Seems like I'm off to Senegal in September.

We're getting involved with projects in la Francophonie and France, Romania and Canada are entering into a partnership.

I had the task of finding us a Canadian partner. I found us a Canadian partner, all the while jealous that I couldn't go because I was not involved with the organisation.

Now, they want me to go, as a liason between Romania and Canada.

This is good. This is very very good.

We still need approval from Francophonie but we've submitted all the paperwork.

My boss asked me to do some research on visa and vaccination requirements for Romanians. I never before realised now Anglo-centric the web is. As a Canadian, I usually just have to go on a government website to find all the information I need. Most sites listed the requirements for Americans, Canadians, Brits, Aussies and Kiwis. I guess Senegal isn't a popular tourist destination for anyone else.

Do you have any idea how hard it is to find the requirements of Romanians for Senegal? One site mentioned almost every country *but* Romania, but I think it's safe to assume if Lithuania and Serbia need visas, then Romania does too.

Then again, this site hasn't been updated since 1997.

I emailed several consulates, but in the meantime, I found the information I needed.
