So wrong
A Romanian woman is now officially the oldest woman ever to give birth, at age 67. I saw her on TV this morning but didn't pay much attention to the story.
I could get into all the reasons why this is so wrong, but I'm sure you're all thinking the same thing as I.
So, so wrong.

Being a mother doesn't take only to give birth, but to raise the child, too (she's 67 years old and the average life expectancy in Romania stands at about 70).
There is also a good part in this story (like always): medicine progressed one step further and I belive this experience will make many happy mothers who couldn't give birth because of some kind of disability.
I've always said that if you need medical assistance to have a child, then maybe there's a reason you couldn't get pregnant in the first place.
(Don't get me started on women having litters of babies, like dogs have litters of puppies)
If this woman wanted a child so much, then didn't she adopt one who was in need?
Seriously, a 67 year old woman should not be having a child. It's not natural. Like you said, the average life span is 70 years old. It's not fair to the child to be raised by someone who is at the end of their life. I'm not saying that 67 year old women can't make great parents, but that girl will most likely still be a child when her mother dies. Who will look after her then?
