I came to Romania straight out of university as an intern working with intercultural education. After extending my contract twice, I realised how much I love my newly adopted country and decided to stay as long as I could. "As long as I could" turned into 361 days. I am now back in Canada, but am hoping to revive this blog to coincide with my new job.

Pay a visit to a stationary store in your town or the store that sells fabric. You can usually find a type of netting that is used to make bridal veils. It's not that expensive, and makes a decent net to keep the buzzing vampires off at night. If your windows don't have screens, you can also use this with some thumb tacks to make window screens.

for some reason, i can't get this level of detail for Sibiu. what's the deal? google thinks Timisoara is cooler than Sibiu? pfft! ;)
I found the link from Wikipedia. I checked the Sibiu site but nothing.
So yes, this proves that we are indeed cooler than Sibiu.
After all, I live here!
Don't feel bad...Google hates Moldova and Transdniestr too.
Google may hate those places, but it is in MAD love with Fredericton, I think they are having a steamy love affair as we speak. Just so you know.
